Lighting can transform a space, whether it is bright white light to make a room clean & crisp for a fresh meeting room or a warm glow to help you relax, the colour and style of lighting can really make a difference to the atmosphere and your mood too.
With increasing energy bills, opting for solar lights are a great option to keep costs down but can also create a wonderful feeling in the space. It can be as simple as hanging a string of lights on the balcony or the fence, or having some flower shaped lights amongst your shrubs, it can almost feel quite magical. We have picked out our top three lights that we think can add a touch of ambience to your garden this Summer.
CREATE THE ILLUSION OF SPACE
Mirrors, something that has started to become a real trend to use in your garden over the past few years, they not only make your space feel bigger it really adds a feel of ‘home’ amongst the plants too. With so many colours and designs to choose from, picking one to suit your style couldn’t be simpler! Please be careful where you place it though, positioning a mirror too close to an item where the sun can bounce off, you may start your own little fire.
To create the illusion of a secret garden, nestle the mirror in amongst your plants so that it reflects a part of the garden that’s not easily seen. You could even hang a smaller window mirror lower down the wall to act as a window into the fairy garden beyond. Or think big to maximise the impact, it will not only reflect more light but it will instantly add some vibrancy to your space.
