Polhill works closely with local charities in the area to put back into the fantastic community which has helped to support us since the very beginning. Below is a list of charities that we work with, striving to support each and every one of them in a way we can.
Friday 28th September 2018 marked the Macmillan Coffee Morning here at Polhill Garden Centre. We were ecstatic to see such a high turn out for a cause that is very close to our hearts. The Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event and we are extremely happy to announce that you all helped us to raise £254. With your great levels of generosity, we together have helped to make a real difference which can hopefully help individuals who are unfortunately suffering with ill health.
It was fantastic to see everyone relaxing and mingling with a slice of delicious cake and a warm beverage, truly demonstrating that community spirit. It is that spirit and generosity that has contributed towards us raising £254 for such a great cause.
We would like to thank everyone who attended the Halstead Open Gardens event sponsored by Polhill. Despite the less than perfect weather on the day, no less than £5,552 was raised. All proceeds were evenly split between The Lullaby Trust (formally known as FSID Cot Death Charity) and St Margaret’s Church in Halsted.
Polhill would like to thank all customers who purchased special 50th Anniversary Packs of Phostrogen All Purpose Plant Food at £1.50 per pack during their Garden Re-Leaf campaign to raise money for Greenfingers – a national charity dedicated to creating magical gardens for children’s hospices around the UK. Polhill has given all sale proceeds to Greenfingers, £1,303.5 in total, kick-starting the garden season with a buzz of excitement.
