The responsibilities

• Assist customers with enquiries, offering guidance and product advice on our wide range of Sundries products, including bird food, garden chemicals, fertilizers, tools, garden hardware, propagation supplies, seeds, lawn treatments, and garden solar lights.
• Unpack and creatively display new stock to attract customer interest.
• Maintain a clean, organised department to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
• Handle stock with care, ensuring its quality and condition are maintained.
• Uphold high standards of health, safety, and security within the department.
• Assist with customer carry-outs and retrieve trolleys from the car park.

The ideal candidate will have

• Previous horticultural knowledge and retail experience, though a keen interest and willingness to learn are most important.

However, it’s the anticipation of the arrival of the big man in red that gets everyone excited, so we are looking for some friendly and festive Elves to help in his popular Grotto.

Being one of our Elves is all about making sure the children have a magical experience, as well as providing great customer service to their parents, family and friends. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, enjoys interacting with children and their families and of course always has a smile on their face!

Previous experience of children’s entertainment or theatre/drama experience is preferred but not essential. More importantly you have plenty of Christmas spirit and motivation to make this a memorable experience for everyone.

The Grotto is open on Saturday 9^th November, Sunday 10^th November, Saturday 16^th November, Sunday 17^st November, Saturday 23^rd November, Sunday 24^th November and then from Thursday the 28^th November it is open every day until Tuesday 24^th December. On every Friday and Saturday that the Grotto is open, the Grotto opens until 8pm.

The hours of work are flexible and can involve working weekdays or weekends.
