Hedging Plants

The traditional hedging laurel. Large oval mid to deep green leaves. Will form a great hedge or specimen shrub. Can be trimmed to size. Best grown in sun or partial shade in a moist yet well drained soil.

• When planting this shrub in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If suitable for containers then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.

A glossy evergreen plant with small deep green leaves. It is a wonderful plant for creating small hedges or sculpting into a wide range of shapes. Any trimming is best done in late April and again in late August. It will grow in a range of acidic soils except waterlogged and thrives in both sun and shade. This plant makes a great alternative for those who have been affected by the Box caterpillar.

A low growing shrub with brightly variegated leaves of green and gold. Will form a nice low growing hedge or screen.Best grown in sun or partial shade in a moist yet well drained position.

A brightly coloured plant with mottled leaves of cream and green. Young growth is even brighter with a dash of stunning pink added as well to the crispy edged leaves. Best grown in sun or partial shade in a moist yet well drained position.
