A glossy evergreen plant with small deep green leaves. It has been trained into a short spiral shape which you can trim to maintain at the same size or allow to grow into a larger spiral shape. Any trimming is best done in late April and again in late August. It will grow in a range of acidic soils except waterlogged and thrives in both sun and shade. This plant makes a great alternative for those who have been affected by the Box caterpillar.

A trained form of this popular conifer. Bright golden yellow young growth that deepens with age. Should be trimmed often to maintain its shape. Best grown in sun or partial shade in a moist yet well drained soil.
Here at Polhill we recommend that you use a good quality compost mixed with your garden soil when planting in the ground. If going into containers then a good multipurpose compost or John Innes compost is recommended
