Bring tired soils back to life with soil conditioner fertiliser.
Soil enrichers are invaluable for gardeners looking to grow the healthiest plants, the most vibrant flowers, and the highest-quality fruit. Our catalogue contains peat and peat-free types, wholly organic blended farm manure, clay breakers and very large bags for big soil enriching projects around the garden.
These soil conditioners for lawns also work well in clay gardens, allotments, and even in reclaimed or sandy soils. They aid with drainage by helping to restore the structure of the soil, open up heavy clay soils, and help to reduce the compaction of dense soils. And as a bonus, these soil improvers help to keep away weeds, while slowly releasing nitrogen to keep your garden healthy.
FAQs
Not quite. Compost is good at creating a healthy soil for plants to grow in, but soil conditioner is good for rapidly restoring soil that is in poor condition back to health. Soil conditioner is particulalry helpful if you want to make the soil more breathable, able to retain more moisture, and to bette balance the pH.
Late September to early October. Most plants top growing around this time, and don’t start again till spring. So it’s easier to get to work on restoring the soil content now, so the plants can get ready to grow again in the New Year.
