Cotton Lavender is a hardy herbaceous perennial plant with aromatic grey-green colour leaves widely used for flavouring broths, sauces or grain dishes in a variety of cuisines. Cotton lavender grows up to 50cm in height and about the same in spread and thrives best in full sun sheltered south facing areas in moist, but well drained sandy or chalky soil. It emerges yellow button-like flowerheads in a summer and is also bee friendly.
When grown in containers we recommend a good quality multipurpose compost is used. Plants should be fed during the growing season with a liquid feed as per the manufacturers instructions.
