A very unusual plant the Japanese Umbrella Pine has rich chestnut brown stems that a covered in long thin glossy green needles. Best grown in a sunny position in a moist yet well drained soil.
As a guide this plant can grown to 10m x 4m in 10yrs
Here at Polhill we recommend that you use a good quality compost mixed with your garden soil when planting in the ground. If going into containers then a good multipurpose compost or John Innes compost is recommended
