Full Description
xVitax Q4 is a well known all purpose fertiliser used by experienced gardeners for producing bigger blooms, stronger growth and bumper fruit and vegetable crops. Developed originally for commercial growing it contains a balanced mix of essential plant nutrients and trace elements that support flowers, roses, shrubs, fruit and vegetables throughout the season. The low dust pelleted format is easy to handle and simple to spread evenly across soil, especially when the ground is moist.
Ideal for preparing soil before sowing or planting Q4 can also be used as a top dressing once or twice in summer to encourage continued growth and cropping. It is particularly effective for roses, tomatoes, chrysanthemums, fruiting plants and vegetable beds and can even be used on lawns before sowing grass seed or laying turf. The larger four point five kilogram tub offers excellent value for ongoing garden feeding.

Most online orders from Polhill Garden Centre are delivered by our own team using our local delivery vans. For customers located further away, we work with trusted courier partners to ensure your order arrives safely.
Delivery typically takes 5 to 10 working days from the date your order is confirmed, excluding weekends. Once your order has been processed, our despatch team will contact you to confirm a delivery date. If the proposed date is not suitable, you are welcome to request an alternative and we will do our best to accommodate.
During particularly busy periods such as summer and the Christmas season, delivery times may extend to 10 to 15 working days.
For larger items including garden furniture, you will receive an email confirming your delivery day. On the day of delivery our drivers will contact you when they are on the way. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a precise delivery time in advance.
Delivery charges start from £5.95 and are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item, as well as your delivery postcode. Most local deliveries are carried out within our main service area across Kent and South East London. If your postcode falls outside this area, courier delivery or an additional transport charge may apply.
If you have not received your order within the expected delivery timeframe, please contact our team and we will be happy to help.
Returns & Refunds
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you change your mind, you may cancel your order before delivery or within 8 days of receiving your goods. Items must be unused, complete and returned in their original packaging in a resaleable condition.
Returns can be made by bringing the item to our store with proof of purchase, or by contacting our online team to arrange an alternative return method. Please note that return costs may apply if the item is not returned directly to the store.
If a product develops a fault within 12 months of delivery, we will normally offer a repair, replacement or refund, provided proof of purchase is available. This does not include damage caused by misuse, neglect or normal wear and tear.
In the unlikely event that a product becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, we may contact you to discuss a suitable substitute. If the alternative is not acceptable, a full refund will be issued.
