The hippeastrum is also called the 'amaryllis'. By bringing the bulb indoors, it can bloom early (even in winter). With the right care, the bulb can also bloom next year. The bulb of the hippeastrum is very large and has thick stems with large and lip-like flowers.
Features:
- The Amaryllis belladonna is also known by 'the naked ladies', which comes from the leafless (naked) stem. This amaryllis is a bulbous perennial which originates from south africa. The belladonna flowers before the foliage appears and will begin blooming from september to october. The flowers are available in the colours pink to white.
