The literal translation of Seitai is to bring the body to balance, and Shiatsu means finger pressure.
They are not types of Japanese martial art of a small Tibetan terrier dog, but they are forms of Japanese therapeutic body work. Seitai and Shiatsu at Polhill Garden Centre uses acupressure, the application of pressure to trigger points, in order to relieve pain and discomfort as well as joint adjustment to realign the body and massage away muscular tension, allowing the body to relax.
Some common conditions that Seitai and Shiatsu may be able to help with are:
Lack of spinal mobility
Headaches and migraines
Knee and other joint pains
Stress, fatigue and tiredness
RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury)
