I joined Polhill Garden Centre over 7 years ago after completing a National Diploma in Animal Management at Hadlow College in Tonbridge.
I had initially joined as a temporary weekend cashier and within weeks Polhill offered me a full-time position. I quickly progressed to Till Supervisor.
After four years as a Till Supervisor, I was accepted as a Pet Department Assistant, where I stayed for a year, learning how a small department runs within the business, this was where I realised that my true interest was in retail management.
I then progressed to Gifts & Homeware Team Leader where I am enjoying the challenges that this position is providing and feel that Polhill has helped my growth both as an employee and an individual.
I have completed Cedars’ Management Development Programme and am thoroughly enjoying my time as a Team Leader.
